What's your favourite 'soft goal' scored by West Ham?
I love a soft goal. It makes life so much easier.

A goalkeeping blunder or defensive calamity.

I'll go for Pottsy only goal. A 25 yard trickler through the keepers legs.

That was our second goal out of seven against Hull City.

I'd put money on him to score our FIRST. I like long odds.

DOH!!

"Zamora's shot hit Tevez, who was in an offside position, on the line, but as the Argentine ran off to celebrate his colleague's goal, the officials concurred that the ball had gone into the net.

"The win, only the second under Alan Curbishley, moved West Ham to within eight points of fourth-from-bottom Sheffield United as Blackburn's Uefa Cup hopes suffered a knock."

I seem to remember in the sixties a Sheffield United player back heeling to the goalkeeper which he did not see coming and the ball rolled into the goal amid roars of laughter.

Dailly's fluke against Ipswich in the second leg of the play off was sweet.

Most electric atmosphere ever that night.

When Carlton Cole miscontrolled the ball in the area, fella on his arse but poked it into the net whilst on the floor.

Re: What's your favourite 'soft goal' scored by West Ham?
There was a goal, I think against Hull CIty, scored by Kevin Keen.
He floated a cross from the touchline in front of the Chicken Run which drifted over the head of the goalkeeper, and nestled in the far corner of the net.
I've never seen a player so embarrassed about scoring at the right end.

Re: What's your favourite 'soft goal' scored by West Ham?
Obviously the keeper should have saved it but as I recall there was a really heavy shower of rain just before Potts shot against Hull.

Can remember John Paintsil/Pantsil coming back with Fulham and helpfully stopping a ball right in front of their goal and allowing our player to walk past him and pop it in the net.

The one against Middlesbrough that didn't cross the line

There was a goal 2 or 3 seasons ago where our "striker" fell and the cross from the left hit him on his way down and went in

Some good goals in there, although he does look weird in an England shirt.

I doubt there are any recently. BFS s teams are hard to beat and defensively solid.

Ronald_antly, I think you mean Keen's goal in the 5-0 win over Sunderland in 1989-90. Allen, Slater and Dolan (2) got the other goals; Slater's was a stunning volley.

That was against Sunderland and can be seen on the link below, as can I, as that's me standing in the south bank to the right of keen as he hits it!

Keen said it was intentional, well he would!
